tat(bcn) began the 2014-15 school year with a special visit from the man we trained with 20 years ago in Brighton, John Nicholls, current director of JNAT in New York.
“These days, I tend to think of the Alexander Technique in this way: there is a synergy between our upright support, our movement and our breathing. What harmonizes these three functions? The head-neck-back relationship. The Alexander Technique teachers you to relax upwards and outwards.”
All involved – students, postgrads, us, John himself – found the week very stimulating, working hard in the best way … and we’re very happy that John will be repeating his visit to tat(bcn) next September!
